Writing
I hear that the more you write the better you get at it. really? I write every single day, in a book, on the computer, for work, for play, for volunteering. Do I think I’m getting better? No, not really, but I definitely have been receiving some nice compliments recently- especially for the stuff I write for work. What has developed, FOR SURE, is my desire to study the art of writing. I love reading random material, from unknown authors/well known authors, random topics and tying together what it is that captures my attention. Where their hook is, so to speak.
I sometimes envy those folks with an English major and sometimes consider going back to school and actually paying attention. But mostly, I just surround myself with books and engage smart people in conversation. Hopefully something good will rub off on me.
You don’t need the degree to have the talent. Just keep it up.
